I started creating the cherry jewelry after finishing glassmaking school. I spent months experimenting in the studio until the cherries looked just the way I had imagined them. It was important to me that they felt as lifelike as possible while still keeping the playful character that makes them unmistakably cherries.
Each cherry and sour cherry is individually handcrafted using the lampwork technique. The cherries are larger, slightly heart-shaped, and come in a range of vibrant red shades, while the sour cherries are smaller, rounder, and deep burgundy in color. The stem is precision-cast in silver from a real cherry stem and is also available in a gold-plated finish. This is anything but a subtle collection. The cherries are among my most distinctive pieces — the kind of jewelry you can recognize from across the room. That’s exactly what I love about them: they’re joyful, full of character, and don’t take themselves too seriously.
They always remind me of summer — picking cherries, long afternoons, and those childhood moments when we would hang cherries from our ears like earrings.
I’ve been making them for years, yet it still brings me the same joy every time the glass turns out exactly as I imagined it.
